The pack has spoken: Maark is officially a "Great Place to Work." Maark was one of the companies certified this year by the Great Place to Work Institute, an organization with a mission to improve workplaces worldwide. As part of that mission, the institute directly surveys employees to learn firsthand what those employees think of the organizations that they work for.
According to the Institute's survey of Maark employees, a whopping 92 percent described the experience of working at Maark as "Great" —that’s compared to just 57 percent at a typical U.S.-based company.
When the survey asked why it was such a great place to work, the word that came up most frequently was "Team."
“That’s a big one here at Maark,” said Mike Colombo, founder and managing director of Maark. “We chose the wolf as our logo to symbolize that we’re part of a pack. Our whole way of working depends on small, tight-knit, highly skilled teams who trust each other and have each other's back. We believe that’s the best way to serve our clients and the best way to help our employees thrive. To hear that validated by the pack is beyond thrilling.”
"We are a service organization,” agreed Erin O’Connor, People and Culture Manager at Maark. “Our business is our colleagues. It’s what we invest in. It’s the reason for doing it. If people don’t like working here or with each other, there is no business. So it’s extremely gratifying to hear that feedback through the Great Place to Work survey.”
In addition to the high ranking overall for working at Maark, major metrics of fairness of pay, appreciation, recognition, and promotions all returned percentages above 96%.
