The Challenge

With 7,500+ properties worldwide and five individually-branded apps supporting its Wyndham Rewards loyalty program, Wyndham Hotel Group was ready to reconceive its existing mobile efforts and create one unified experience for iOS and Android. Their new product needed to meet the needs of Wyndham’s wide range of hotel brands, from economy to upper-upscale, and allow users to customize their experience in the app based on the brands they preferred most.

The solution

The new Wyndham Rewards app is the mobile-first solution making finding, booking, and earning rewards points fast and simple for Wyndham’s customers. Methodically designed and architected from the ground up, the app performs flawlessly across iOS and Android devices so users can make reservations and plan their stay with Wyndham from anywhere.

In an in-depth discovery engagement, WillowTree and Wyndham worked together to formulate a detailed project plan encompassing the app’s technical architecture, design, and development. Next, UX designers created visual concepts for the app, collaborating closely with Wyndham’s team to refine and perfect the product’s design. Once designs were finalized, iOS and Android Engineers went to work to bring the app to life, deeply and seamlessly integrating Wyndham’s internal systems with the app to provide users with a contextually-relevant, personalized experience.

The Results

Wyndham customers were enchanted. Within 30 days of launch, the revamped app saw a 241% increase in usage.
