Vice President, Channel Partnerships

WillowTree, Inc. is currently hiring a VP of Channel Partnerships. Since the company’s inception in 2008, WillowTree has been at the forefront of mobile/digital product design and development. This market leadership has parlayed into the highest level of partnerships and certifications with the worldwide leaders in digital/mobile technology including: Apple, Google, Microsoft, SAP, and Cisco. This senior-level role will be responsible for managing and developing our strategic partner network. The person in this role will engage with senior executives on the partner side to grow our relationships with these partners, nurture WillowTree’s reputation as a thought leader, and strengthen our position for referral-based client leads from this network.

WillowTree’s client roster includes: HBO, GE, Nestle, Synchrony Financial, 21st Century Fox, PepsiCo, and many others. About this position:
  • This role will be responsible for:
    • Managing and expanding relationships with our largest partners, including Apple, Google, Microsoft and SAP
    • Driving two-way communication with the partner network --  
      • To the Network -- aid in content creation promote and distribute WillowTree case studies, thought leadership, and capabilities to keep WIllowTree top of mind on the partner side
      • From the Network -- extract cutting edge tech and partnership opportunities, including client leads, as well as managing the pipeline of opportunities and collaborating on joint market approaches with partner companies
    • Nurturing WillowTree’s reputation as a thought leader in mobile/digital development and strategy.
    • Setting our business development team up to deliver presentations / pitches to partner conferences and end clients referred by partners
    • Growing our partner network


Must Haves:
  • Significant experience in technology-related services sales, business development, and or marketing
  • An exceptional ability to understand large enterprise software sales organizations and how we can arm/penetrate them
  • Intellectually honest and experienced enough to know when to double down and when to walk away from a channel
  • Strategic and disciplined in your approach
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build deep relationships with partners, their sales teams, and our internal Business Development and Marketing teams
  • Self-motivated and autonomous, comfortable executing against deliverables by yourself, and knowing when to pull in internal partners when necessary

Considerations:

  • This role will reside at our Charlottesville, VA headquarters and report to our Chief Commercial Officer
  • Moderate, but focused, travel expected (3-5 trips a month -- includes day trips on East Coast)
  • Variable compensation will be personal and company bonus driven, not commissioned
