Utilization Analyst


WillowTree’s team builds digital products for some of the world’s largest brands. Our projects and priorities are complex and always changing. We’re looking for a Utilization Analyst who has an eye for detail and efficiency. You’ll collaborate with finance, business development, engineering and design teams to provide real-time visibility into project schedules and financials in order to efficiently allocate our teams to projects.

Can you develop solutions to meet the priorities of a multidisciplinary team? Do you always seem to find the missing piece of the puzzle? Do people often respond to your ideas with, “Why didn’t I think of that!”

Successful Applicants
:
  • Review and manage client contracts and SOWs (e.g. track execution, prepare deal memos, manage and audit contract files)

  • Collaborate with Project Management, Business Development, and Finance teams to make utilization decisions

  • Are expert wranglers, able to allocate multidisciplinary project teams which include monitoring and analyzing unbilled or underutilized team members

  • Are knowledgeable of billing and accounts receivable

  • Have a strategic view across client needs and WillowTree team members to optimize staffing for client outcomes.
  • Can spot inefficiencies and creatively offer solutions


Must Haves:
  • Expertise in forecasting, utilization and ad-hoc reporting

  • Experience managing timelines, overages, budgets, team member allocation, etc. for all client project teams

  • Experience preparing financial statements including audits and journal entries as needed

  • You are able to analyze complex, shifting priorities and make informed decisions

  • Tactful yet effective communication skills. You will talk the talk to all teams within the organization

  • The ability to track information and provide expert follow-up


Bonus Points:
  • Experience working as a Project Controller
  • Experience working with technical projects(e.g. allocating multiple software projects, managining relationships within the SDLC, etc.)
  • Experience with Project Portfolio Management software

  • Experience allocating technical projects (e.g. sprints)
