The Challenge

With existing apps in need of major updates and an increasing number of competitors vying for the attention of consumers, Valpak, one of the nation’s leading direct marketers, was eager to find a mobile partner to help them relaunch their applications on a short timeline without any hitches. Clean user interfaces, vibrant design elements, and fast, reliable performance across iOS and Android devices were critical to a successful mobile redesign.

The Solution

Valpak® Local Coupons is the completely redesigned app that’s enhancing Valpak’s competitive edge through the delivery of localized deals, and empowering marketers by putting valuable consumer insights at their fingertips.

WillowTree’s UX Designers strategically incorporated Valpak’s branding into the design of the apps, ensuring users enjoy a familiar and intuitive experience when using the apps. Social login is also incorporated into the UX of Valpak’s apps so users can easily share  and access coupons across their favorite social media sites.

iOS developers integrated Apple Passbook into the iPhone and iPad versions of the applications, making Valpak the first coupon provider to include the feature in their apps. Developers also created The Valpak® Business Center, a merchant-facing app that allows brands who advertise with Valpak to track coupon usage and campaign metrics from their phones, and scan coupons using a built-in QR code reader on site at their store or business locations.
